England's bowling attack has been carted around the park by West Indies' 140kg, 200cm monster Rahkeem Cornwall in a warm up match on Monday.

The 24-year-old dispatched Eoin Morgan's team around the park in the 50-over match for West Indies President's XI, he made 59.

Cornwall's innings included three sixes against an England attack featuring Ben Stokes, Liam Plunkett and Moeen Ali. He led his side to a total of 233, which was only just run down by England after they were 8-212 with five over remaining.

Cornwall has scored 1014 first-class runs at an average of 23, also taking 125 wickets. He has been tipped as an up-and-coming West Indies all-rounder for over a year but his weight issues have kept him out of the team.

“We’re actually putting a program in place for Rahkeem where we are actually going to have someone to manage him overall,” West Indian chairman of selectors Courtney Browne recently told a local radio station, as reported by The Mirror.

“We are looking at the various components of him playing cricket where we are looking at coaches, dietitians, and just getting everybody to come together to help this young player because he’s a special talent.”

Cornwall, who also took 1-39 from his 10 overs, said he is hopeful his program can help him get into the West Indies team.

“If losing weight is the issue then that is why I am on the program with the West Indies Cricket Board,” he said.

“So I am putting in my best and putting in the work to lose the weight if that is the case — because it can’t be performance so I will do what I have to do to make the West Indies team.”
