England has won the fourth ODI overnight to level the series at 2-2 heading into the fifth and deciding match.
Australia won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 7-299, before England reached the target with 10 balls to spare and three wickets in hand.
Australia found themselves in trouble at 3-30, after Burns (2), Smith (5) and Finch (15) all fell cheaply.
Glenn Maxwell and George Bailey then rescued the innings with a 137 run partnership, before Maxwell went for a brilliant 85 from just 64 balls when he was bowled by Ali while trying to reserve sweep.
The tourists then suffered another mini collapse, losing 3-5, as Marsh (17), Bailey (75) and Stoinis (4) all fell in quick succession.
Victorians Matthew Wade and John Hastings then blasted 85 runs from 8.2 overs to ensure England was forced to chase 300. Wade made an unbeaten 50 from 36 balls, while Hastings made 34 from 26 balls.
Captain Eoin Morgan was the star for the hosts in reply, as he made 92 from 92 to set up the win for his side. However, the run chase didn't start well for Enlgand, with Cummins removing Hales for a duck in the second over of the innings.
Morgan was complimented by handy contributions from Roy (36), Taylor (41), Stokes (41) and Bairstow (31).
A brilliant bowling performance from Pat Cummins (4-49) and two remarkable catches from Glenn Maxwell was not enough for Australia as they eventually went down by three wickets.
